CUSTOM PROJECT PROCESS

Every project begins with a conversation. We work closely with each client to design and build something doesn’t exist yet - shaped by your space, your use, and your sensibility.

STEP 1

Tell us about your piece

We start with a free consultation to understand what you have in mind: the form, the function, the space it will live in. From there, we develop 3–5 design concepts and present them as detailed renderings for your review.

A design fee starting at $500 applies at this stage, scaled to project scope. If none of the concepts feel right, there's no obligation to continue and no charge. If you move forward, the design fee is waived entirely.

STEP 2

Refining Your Chosen Design

Once you've chosen a direction, we refine it together — adjusting proportions, details, and finishes until it's exactly right. We'll send you a sample kit — wood species and finish options to hold and compare in your own space — before finalizing materials. You'll receive final high-resolution renderings and a 2D drawing for approval before anything is built.

A 50% deposit confirms your commission and begins production. A three-payment option is available on request

STEP 3

Made by hand

What's included

  • Free initial consultation

  • 3–5 design concept renderings

  • Material and finish sample kit

  • Production photo updates throughout fabrication

  • Design fee waived on confirmed orders

  • Care and provenance card with every piece

Your piece is built by Seiji in our Vancouver workshop. Production takes 8–12 weeks, sometimes longer for complex work — we don't rush it. You'll receive regular photo updates as it takes shape.

The remaining balance is due when your piece is ready. Every completed piece ships with a care and provenance card documenting the materials, finishes, and the hands that made it.
